  • My experience with blogging so far has been very positive. I have not feel obligated to write even though they are for a grade. I like writing about my experiences without thinking about the right or wrong answer for a grade. So far, I have learned that blogging comes natural and you can't make up experiences in order to just answer the question.
  • An interesting Web 2.0 tool that I might use when teaching is google docs. This tool is used to write and store papers on the web. It is easy to access and it has automatic saving which many students will need. When used with google classrooms, I can access their files submitted and make it easier to grade and check progress. Lastly, because it is a web 2.0 tool, it allows for students to invite each other into their documents and revise together. It also allows for them to add comments and notes in order to collaborate when correcting or revising.
  • When I began using generative AI, I was very excited and skeptical. I downloaded chat gpt and input very simple tasks that it met correctly and very quickly. I was very surprised that even though I had not gave it much information, it looked through all of it sources and formulated responses in seconds. Then I fell in the trap of excitement. I payed $96 to have a program that created AI images, which is now free with almost all AI programs. The recency and excitement got to me and I was very underwhelmed with AI images, and I still am. After my friend taught me to be more descriptive and specific, AI began working more and more to my favor.
  • I believe generative AI can be used to facilitate lessons for students and teachers. For educators, lessons plans can be expanded on, the ai can give ideas about other methods that they don't use. It can also be used when students have language barriers. AI can give these students a sense of belonging because they can rapidly understand what is happening without over using these translators. There are obviously many ethical concerns with AI, mostly regarding plagiarism. Although this is very hard to avoid with modern students, I believe that by using Ai detectors and learning more about how AI formulates and structures passages, it can be greatly avoided. I do not. believe it should be banned completely because it can serve as great help for students who do not understand and need further practice.
