  My experience with distance learning began with the COVID-19 pandemic. At first, there were no zoom meetings. Teachers would post the assignments we had for the week and we would complete them by the due date, which is pretty similar to the asynchronous online courses I've had in college. As my junior year began, we used daily zoom meetings at the time of our classes. Our teachers shared their screens and gave us assignments in class that were only open for that period on canvas. I believe they were both very effective but when it comes to a more rigorous course, I would rather have the teacher in the meeting because we can actively participate and get involved. I have yet to take a distance learning course at FSU and I am looking forward to seeing how that experience goes next semester.  An OER are open resources that educators can use and reuse without permission.
